In Loving Memory of Oreo

In Loving Memory of Oreo

Beloved Pig | Sprinkler Specialist & Pen Proud

They say pigs are as smart as dogs, and Oreo was living proof. From the moment he arrived—screaming like a banshee as I unloaded him from the trailer—he made it clear he had a personality all his own. But it didn’t take long for him to settle in and fall in love with his new home. He became the proud guardian of his pen, strutting around like he owned the place.

Oreo had a gift for making us laugh. He’d run laps around his pen with such enthusiasm that we’d be in stitches for hours. But nothing topped his signature move: when we filled his water dish, he’d grab the hose in his mouth and sprint around like a living sprinkler, spraying everything in sight. It was chaos. It was hilarious. It was Oreo.

He was more than a pet—he was a character, a companion, and a constant source of joy. His intelligence showed in every mischievous glance, every clever antic, and every moment he made us feel like he understood more than we realized.

There comes a time to say goodbye to every pet, but Oreo’s came too soon. His absence is felt in the quiet of the pen, in the stillness where laughter used to echo. But his memory lives on—in every story we tell, every smile he gave us, and every hose we’ll never look at the same way again.

We miss you, Oreo. Thank you for being brilliant, ridiculous, and absolutely unforgettable.

I’m so sorry about the loss of Oreo. I had a pig when I was little and I loved that little guy and still think about him.
